Two teens are in hot water with the law after participating in the dangerous Tic-Toc Orbeez “Challenge.” The challenge involves using Orbeez gel blasters to shoot unsuspecting people.
The Susanville Police department was alerted to the situation on Main street when several calls came in about bystanders being targeted with the gel beads. Quick action by officers led to the successful tracking down of the suspects and confiscation of their Orbeez gel blaster BB guns. They were cited for reckless discharge of a BB.
The department says this serves as a cautionary tale for parents, warning that these actions can result in serious injury and criminal prosecution. Use the toys properly and responsibly.
