A new health care facility serving Tribal Members will soon have an official name following a community naming contest.
The winning name, Four Nations Health Center, was selected after receiving 73% of the 125 votes cast by Tribal Members. The name was originally submitted by the late Gene Pasqua, and his contribution will be honored as the new clinic prepares to open.
Construction on the facility is currently underway, and the new name will be officially adopted when the clinic opens its doors.
Tribal representatives thanked everyone who participated in the naming process, saying the community’s input helped shape the future of the health care resource.
“Thank you to everyone who participated in the naming contest and helped shape the future of this important community resource,” organizers said. “We appreciate your voices, your ideas, and your support.”
