Also a new public health order has gone out for a new group of employees by the California Department of public health to require adult and senior care facilities and in-home direct care setting employees to be fully vaccinated by November 30th. This includes all staff at adult and senior care facilities, all in home registered home care aides, all personal care service providers, in home supportive service providers, all hospice workers, and regional center employees. The three authorized vaccines include pfizer’s or moderna’s as well as the Johnson and Johnson. Barbara Longo Lassen county’s Public Health and social services director shared that Lassen county does encourage you to be vaccinated after consulting your health with your Doctor. She also shared that Lassen County continues to grow in its count of vaccinated individuals and reflects around 1700, well over 50% of the county.
