The Lake Almanor Ace Hardware in Chester has officially changed ownership as of September 12. After 11 years of dedicated service, Duane and Tami De Jong have passed the torch to new owners Kyle and Macey Nelepovitz. The De Jongs express heartfelt gratitude to their customers and plan to semi-retire and travel in their RV, while remaining active members of the Lake Almanor community.

Choosing to keep the sale private, the De Jongs handpicked the Nelepovitzes, confident they will uphold the store’s legacy. The store will continue operating under the same name, with the same employees and product offerings.

Kyle and Macey, originally from Fort Bragg, bring a wealth of experience and a deep love for the area. Kyle grew up visiting Lake Almanor and built his career in his grandfather’s hardware business, while Macey has a background in home décor and gift retail. The couple, along with their three boys, look forward to becoming part of the Chester community and serving its residents with the same dedication as their predecessors.
