Supervisor Mimi Hall will serve as chair of the Plumas County Board of Supervisors for the 2026 calendar year. Supervisor Jeff Engel made the motion to elect Hall to the post, with Supervisor Kevin Goss providing the second.
That action was quickly followed by Hall’s motion to elect Goss as vice chair of the board. Supervisor Dwight Ceresola provided the second. Both motions passed unanimously.
The new board officers are similar to the leadership in 2025 but with their positions switched. Goss has been board chair for the past year, with Hall the vice chair.
Hall praised Goss as “an incredible partner, teacher and mentor. He showed me how the county can work as a team,” she said. Working together, they brought a “sense of dignity and respect” to county operations, which “were not always that way,” she added.
The new roles took effect at the board’s Jan. 6 meeting.
