CHP in Susanville reports that 3-29-26 @ 7:00 am: Our units assisted with road closures along Riverside Road due to the Mill catching fire early this morning. While we have lost an irreplaceable piece of our community’s history, we are immensely grateful that there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Huge thanks to our first responders for preventing the fire from spreading further. The roadways are now open, but please use caution in the area for fire personnel still on scene.
