BLM donates a fire engine to the Milford volunteer fire department. Milford Fire chief Ryan Erwin received the keys today from BLM officer grant Gifford in a ceremony in Susanville this afternoon. The donation was a mutual benefit as the BLM relies on local fire support during wildfires. The new-to Milford engine is a 2006 crew cab unit with high clearance, 4wheel drive, and can draft and pump water from local sources even while on the move. The engine comes from the BLM Ravendale station after 15 years of service. BLM’s rural fire readiness program made the donation a possibility.
