This Thursday, you can share your thoughts with Lassen County’s Supervisors and Susanville City Council on which hazards are of the most concern to you in your community. A joint meeting with the City council and board of supervisors will be held at Jensen Hall to discuss the county’s Hazard Mitigation plan. Last adopted in 2011, is in need of an overdue update.
With your input, you can be part of the county’s future long-term strategies for protecting property and people from natural disaster risks.
The mitigation plan is also a critical piece in the county, leveraging federal grant funding to prevent natural hazard damage from floods, wildfires, and power outages.
The meeting will begin at 2 PM at the county fairgrounds in Jensen Hall Thursday, June 29th.
