Major Collision on 299 Leaves One Woman Dead

One woman Died Friday Afternoon After Another struck her vehicle.

Alturas California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the fatal traffic collision Just after four p.m. on November 3rd on Highway 299 along Cedar Pass.
Reports indicate that 44-year-old Brian Boatman was driving westbound along the highway in a Chevrolet 6500 tow truck. His vehicle was said to have drifted off the shoulder of the roadway while rounding a curve; in his attempt to get back onto the road, Boatman lost control.

The tow truck traveled into the oncoming lane where a 70-year-old woman driving a GMC Sierra was traveling. The overcorrection resulted in a significant collision, in which the unidentified woman suffered fatal injuries. Boatman sustained only moderate injuries.
