The U.S. Capitol National Christmas Tree that was selected from the Six rivers National Forest had help being transported by one local area man. Mike English of Alturas was one of the six selected drivers entrusted with the trees transport to the capitol. Mr. English was selected due to his impressive 2 million miles driven without an accident driving record as well as having experience transporting large equipment. The tree is 84 feet tall and the trailer used to transport it was 80 feet long alone. The Tree arrived at its final destination with the help of Mr. English just last week. The Lighting of the tree will take place today at 5pm eastern time.
