You can now reserve Butte lake campgrounds. The Lassen National forest has opened the sites following hazardous tree clean-up. Yet when making a reservation the forest service has issued notice that the sites do not have drinking water and the boat ramp is temporarily closed due to the low level of the lake. You will have to walk your non motorized boat down to the water. The Dixie fire impacted the campgrounds with low to moderate burns; you will need to be prepared for burned area hazards while in the campgrounds.
