As winter storms impact the area this week into next Lassen Municipal Utility District will remain connected with Honey Lake Power. Electric operations manager Cort Cortez at the LMUD board meeting said the 100 and 200 lines coming out of Susanville running down to the Westwood Substation have been cleared and checked over a three day period following the recent outages. He is confident in returning back to the lines were it not for one fault that does not fall on LMUD. That fault lies with PG&E whose breakers were over sensitized causing LMUDs whole system to be taken offline. LMUD is in contact with PG&E to resolve the issue and get both breakers coordinated. Cortez said LMUD will continue to remain with HLP until PG&E adjusts the breaker settings as he said, it is not right to continue to have unneccessary extended power outages for thier customers. LMUD is confident in returning power back to their main transmission lines once the issue has been resolved.
