The old Bank of America building in uptown was approved to be the potential new home of Lassen Municipal Utility District. The LMUD board unanimously agreed to proceed with the purchase following all inspections as long as they meet the established criteria of the sale. General Manager Pat Holly explained that the current building they are in is outdated with lmited spacing for employees and a new building would greatly benefit the company. Additionally the Bank of America Building would provide an opportunity for LMUD to offer drive-thru services. Holly also said with this purchase LMUD would ahve the opportunity to help beautify the uptown area by maintaining the grounds and providing a business front to the district. The building will be purchased for 550k dollars.
