The cost you pay for power may increase for a second time following this evening’s LMUD public hearing.
The Board of Directors is set to consider adjusting the current rate. They face another one-and-a-half percent increase to make up for the district’s significant deficit by under-collecting as purchase power costs continue to increase. The current rate is 14 and a half cents following November’s increase and could reach 16 cents for each kilowatt hour used. The hearing will occur during the regular board meeting at 5:30 this evening. The community is welcome to attend. If you want to provide comments during the hearing, you will have that chance before the board decides on the rates.
The hearing will be held at 65 S. Roop St. You can view the agenda by visiting, lmud.org
