The Beckwourth Fire District will be burning down the old fireside building in a training exercise. The live fire burn scenario will begin at 8am this Saturday and last until 4pm. The Sierra Valley Fire Dept and Eastern Plumas Rural Fire Protection District have also been invited to be mutual aid partners in the training. The communities around Beckwourth and Eastern Plumas are being forewarned of the training exercise to not cause concern.
