It’s volcano week, and the Lassen Volcanic National Park is celebrating with seven days of learning.
The Park is unique as it is one of the few areas in the world where all four types of volcanoes can be found. The Park says over the last 800,000 years, mysteries such as the disappearance of Mt. Tehama, the towering heights of Lassen Peak, the view from Cinder Cone, the expansiveness of Prospect Peak, and bubbling hydrothermal features indicate that something still stirs beneath the quiet dome.
