Lassen Supervisors set to introduce the newly amended ordinance on cannabis cultivation at tomorrow’s board meeting. The supervisors have asked the Planning Commission make amendments to Title 18 of the Lassen County Planning Code to allow up to 5 use permit applications to allow indoor commercial cannabis cultivation in industrial zoning districts; to which the Planning Commission at a public hearing on the ordinance on May 3rd came to an impasse on issuing any recommendations to the board. The public hearing at tomorrow’s board meeting will be continued in a public hearing at Jensen Hall at the Lassen County Fairgrounds at 6pm, Tuesday May 24th. The effort to hold an evening meeting to accommodate more of the county was proposed by District 2 Supervisor Bridges during last week’s meeting. Tomorrow the board will initiate the public hearing beginning at 10am at the supervisor chambers on Nevada Street.
