Lassen SO K9 ‘Hank’ Donated Protective Vest

Lassen County Sheriff’s Office K9 Hank receives his donation of body armor. The new vest is bullet and stab proof made possible by a charitable donation from a non-profit organization, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Hank’s vest was sponsored by the 2021 Fallen K9 Hero fundraiser hosted by the nonprofit. You can see embroidered onto the vest the sentiment reading: “In memory of the K9s who served and sacrificed in 2021”.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., since 2009, has had a mission to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. Each vest for the K9 officers is U.S.-made, custom-fitted, and certified. Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided nearly 5,000 vests to K9s in all 50 states at a value of almost 7 million dollars.
