This month, Lassen Office of Education is proud to shine a well-deserved spotlight on Kyle DeRose, Fiscal Analyst for the Lassen County Office of Education. While Kyle may be someone who prefers to work behind the scenes, his impact is felt across the entire organization every single day.
Kyle is truly a key part of the Business Department. There are countless processes, systems, and responsibilities that rely on his expertise, many of which most of us may not even realize. From managing complex fiscal responsibilities to supporting our districts and their CBOS, Kyle plays a critical role in ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently.
Over the past year, Kyle has taken on an especially important role in training and supporting staff as many transitioned into new positions. Despite an already full workload, he consistently makes time to guide others, answer questions, and share his deep knowledge. His patience, willingness to help, and ability to break down complex information have made a lasting difference for many team members.
Kyle is known for his reliability, work ethic, and quiet dedication. He is often the first to step in when help is needed and the one who stays late to meet deadlines or correct issues, often without seeking recognition. His behind-the-scenes work keeps the department functioning at a high level, and quite simply, things would not run as smoothly without him.
Beyond his technical skills, Kyle’s presence contributes to a stronger, more supportive work environment. He is a trusted resource, a dependable teammate, and someone who continuously helps improve both morale and performance within the department. His contributions may not always be visible, but they are absolutely essential.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and is a dedicated Raiders fan.
