Lassen National Volcanic Park Begins Hazard Tree Removal Project

Post Dixie Fire recovery continues with a new hazard tree removal project.

Crews will remove hazard trees along the Lassen Volcanic National park highway and in Warner Valley and Juniper Lake areas. Work is currently occurring at the Southwest Walk-in Campground and Drakesbad Guest Ranch. Hazard trees pose a threat to safety or infrastructure and are identified by a blue paint mark. Learn more about the project at the national park service website.

Expect temporary traffic control and changes to parking areas in active work zones. For your safety, please keep a safe distance from workers and equipment.
