You may see smoke coming from Highway 44 and 89 over the next few days. The Lassen National Forest will be conducting pile burning in the Eagle Lake and Hat Creek Ranger District to the N/NW of Poison Lake on the Plum Project near the Coyote Reservoir area. The LNF will be completing the burn on 75 acres. The operation could last into next week. You can expect to see smoke visible from the hwys for several days following the completion of the burn.
