Amid a hot and dry season ahead and current fuel conditions, the Lassen National Forest begins forest-wide fire restrictions. Starting today you will not be able to build a campfire outside of a designated and developed campground, smoking can only be done in a closed vehicle, building, or designated recreation site, and you can only drive your vehicle on established forest system roads and trails, among some of the restrictions. You can learn more about these fire restrictions by visiting the Lassen Forest Service website.
