Lassen National Forest Announces Crater Lake Campsites Open for Summer Season

SHARE NOW

The Lassen National Forest has announced the opening of the Crater Lake campgrounds. The area, just a few miles off Highway 44 is a favorite spot for flyfishing and kayaking; high clearance vehicles are recommended, and large trailers and motor homes are not due to the steep and rough road to the campsite. While Crews are working to clean up the area, some sites may still be hazardous and snowed in.

You can visit the USDA forest service website for more information and the complete list of open recreational sites.
