In an effort to enhance community engagement and bolster wildfire mitigation measures, the Lassen Fire Safe Council invites the public to join their first General Meeting of 2024. Regardless of weather conditions, the meeting is scheduled for January 17th at 5:30 pm and will take place at the Susan River Fire Hall, located at 705-145 Hwy 395 in Johnstonville.
This will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the Lassen Fire Safe Council’s new initiative in 2024 – the Community Projects Fund. This fund aims to address urgent wildfire mitigation needs within the community. It will be accessible to various entities, including community groups, volunteer fire departments, Firewise communities, and other interested parties, including governments or organizations with pressing needs. Further details on the application process for these funds will be unveiled soon, encouraging interested parties to stay tuned for more information.
