The council has begun to assess different types of home hardening projects with the funding.

Deb Bumpus Lassen, National Forest Supervisor, and Tonya Costello from the Eagle Lake Ranger District shared that additional funding has been received for roadside hazard trees and a suppression project to repair 600 acres in the Bogard, Willow Creek & Pine Creek Valley areas.

October’s meeting will be held at the Susan River Fire Protection Office in Johnstonville starting at 5:30 on October 19th.

The council meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
