As wildfire season is here the Lassen fire safe council is partnering with PG&E to build up your education on how to create a fire safe home, landscape, and community. The council will host a series of free expert led training sessions presented by Pat Durland a wildfire expert, Lassen Fire Safe Council managing director Tom Esgate, and the councils education coordinator Dan Douglas. You will learn how to minimize ignition around your home and the community as well as how to assess the potential for fire damage. The first seminar will be held in Susanville at the Industrial building at the fairgrounds on April 8th and 9th. Space is limited, you need to RSVP to the Lassen fire safe council by calling 251-5560 or by emailing selina@lassenfiresafecouncil.org. Additional meetings will be held in Westwood, Doyle, and Hamilton Branch.
