Lassen County is proudly represented in Washington, D.C.
Lassen County Superintendent of Schools Patty Gunderson, serving as Small County Caucus Chair, joined county superintendents from across California for their rescheduled federal advocacy trip, hitting the ground running on critical education issues.

On Day 1, discussions with Rep. Huffman and Rep. Lieu’s office focused on key topics including Medicaid reimbursements for special education services, emerging education technology priorities, federal appropriations, and the reauthorization of Secure Rural Schools funding for FY27.

We’re grateful for Patty’s leadership and advocacy on behalf of Lassen County students, schools, and communities.
