The Lassen County Office of Education is proud to share the success of the 2026 Lassen County California History Day, held Thursday, March 26, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. More than 300 fourth-grade students from across the county participated in a full day of interactive, hands-on learning centered around California’s rich history.
Throughout the day, students rotated through engaging sessions that brought key historical topics
to life. Activities explored California ranching and agriculture, mining and the Gold Rush,
inflation, women in history, and notable locations across the state. Each station offered
meaningful, age-appropriate opportunities for students to deepen their understanding through
exploration and participation.
Lassen County Office of Education extends its sincere gratitude to the many community partners
who helped make this event possible. Their dedication and support were instrumental in creating
