The Lassen County Fish and Game Commission invites the public to attend its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15 in the Lassen County Supervisors Board Chambers, 707 Nevada St. According to a statement from the commission, “We will have information about the wolf issue to share with anyone who is interested.
The meeting will address the ongoing wolf issue, including information shared about recent efforts to locate and capture wolves using helicopters.
Local ranchers are particularly concerned about the impact of the wolves on livestock as the young pups mature and begin to hunt. Experts on wolf behavior and law enforcement officials, including Lassen County Sheriff John McGarva, are anticipated to be present. The commission encourages anyone interested in these topics to attend and participate in the discussion.
