Lassen County Fairgrounds have chosen the Festival of Lights Winners. The fairgrounds partnered with the Lassen County Office of Education to host the Festival of Lights competition with a top prize award of 500 dollars in cash.
In the school category the following schools placed:
Shaffer Elementary took 1st place winning 500 dollars
Johnstonville School took 2nd and won 250 dollars
Richmond school took 3rd winning 100 dollars
In the Fair light display category:
Joe’s coffee shop took 1st place
Lake 4H placed 2nd
Giles&Trevizu family took 3rd
In the Christmas tree competition the Blue star moms won 1st place and Lassen Family Services placed 2nd.
Congratulations to all the winners. If you have not made it out to the festival of lights at the fairgrounds yet, you can make your way out there this weekend starting on Friday night at 5. It will be open all weekend until 8pm, then starting Christmas week the festival of lights will be open for the entire week starting a 5pm.
