Lassen County election results await finalization. Results have had little change. Early candidate leaders are still holding onto their victory. The results are as follows for the Lassen County and Susanville City council races: For District 3 Supervisor Tom Neely holds the lead with 57% of the vote. The District 5 Supervisor race will be heading to the November General election as neither of the top two vote earners reached the 50% threshold. Tom Traphagen remains in the lead with 44% and Jason Ingram is right behind him at 43%, that’s a difference of only 6 votes, proving those in District 5 are even divided on supporting either candidate. For the two-year term seat on the Susanville City Council, current appointed member Thomas Herrera holds a lead with 51% and looks to become an officially elected councilmember, and the top vote earners for the two full-term seats are Current Mayor Mendy Schuster with 26% and Russ Brown with 17% of votes. The clerk recorder’s office is waiting for the final 33 ballots in need of signature corrections that will have until 5 pm today to complete, then a final unofficial result will go out, with certified results expected around the 21st.
For those that reside in Nevada, election results are still coming in from the election held on the 14th with current leaders showing a run-off in the general election in November for US Senate between Democrat Masto and Republican Laxalt, and for Governor, incumbent Democrat Sisolak and GOP leader Joe Lombardo.
