Lassen Community College invites you to get cozy with the creepy crawlers of the night with a world-renowned spider expert for the college’s annual spider hunt.
Dr. Kelly Kissane will lead those brave enough on a nocturnal expedition armed with headlamps and specimen containers provided by the college in an attempt to capture and learn about arachnids.
You will also have the chance to capture photographs and engage in discussions about the diverse species of spiders encountered during the hunt. No spiders will be harmed in the capture, as your new eight-legged friends will be released back into their natural habitat at the end of the hunt.
This event is open to everyone who is curious about learning more about the world of spiders. It offers an exceptional educational opportunity, particularly for homeschoolers looking to gain valuable science insights under the guidance of an expert.
The Lassen College Annual Spider Hunt will be held on October 2 at 6:00 PM at the Math Science Building on the Lassen College campus.
