The Almanor Recreation and Park District is set to host the 44th annual Chester Fourth of July Fun Run at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 4. This 1-mile run/walk will begin at the Collins Pine lawn and follow Chester’s historic Main Street, concluding at the Bidwell House.
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes or dress in Fourth of July colors and accessories. Spectators are also welcome to join in the festivities.
The first 400 registrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, and refreshments will be available at the finish line. Following the run, a Fourth of July Craft Fair will be held at Chester Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., hosted by the Lake Almanor Elks Lodge, along with a Fourth of July Parade starting at 11 a.m. on Chester Main Street, organized by the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce.
