As the Lassen County Fair gets underway, the California Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to make safe choices.
According to the CHP Susanville Area Office, officers assigned to the graveyard shift made the three arrests while patrolling the highway, highlighting the ongoing dangers of impaired driving.
With increased traffic expected during fair week, CHP is urging attendees to plan ahead by designating a sober driver, using a rideshare service, or arranging a ride with a friend or family member.
CHP says it will continue proactive enforcement efforts and public education campaigns to help keep roadways safe throughout the fair and summer travel season.
Officials remind motorists that impaired driving puts not only the driver at risk, but also passengers and everyone sharing the road.
