You will need to plan on alternative routes throughout the week.If making hwy 36 an alternative route around the closure into the Redding area you will need to plan for those extended delays as Caltrans begins 2 projects along the roadway. the first you will encounter from Susanville into Chester is the Good Fred Project between County Road A-21 and the 44 jct, there will be 24/7 traffic control through 7 p.m. next Monday (June 20). Plan for up to 30-minute delays. The second is Tree and chipping operations west of the junction with State Route 89 you should plan for 20-minute delays intermittently through this week, today thru Friday during daytime hours, for continued Dixie Fire recovery efforts.
