Heartwarming Valentine’s Day Surprise for Seneca Healthcare’s Skilled Nursing Residents

Seneca Healthcare’s skilled nursing residents experienced a heartfelt Valentine’s Day celebration, receiving an outpouring of love through cards sent from as far away as San Jose. The initiative, spearheaded by Seneca Healthcare District, saw a remarkable response from the community, surpassing expectations.

Seneca Healthcare District had reached out to the community, requesting Valentine’s Day cards for the skilled nursing residents, and the community’s response was indeed heartening. The residents were treated to an overwhelming number of cards, and the gratitude from Seneca Healthcare District knows no bounds.

Heartwarming images capture the moments when the residents joyfully opened their Valentine’s cards, revealing a diverse collection of greetings. Among the contributors were Marian Thompson, Judy Hardig, Westwood Library, several Chester Elementary School classes, Lake Almanor Christian School, Seneca Admin, and numerous others, even from locations as distant as Orland, Chico, and San Jose.

Adding to the thoughtful gesture, Holiday Market in Chester generously donated paper bags for the residents, while Sierra Hospice brought carnations for each resident, enhancing the overall Valentine’s Day experience.

Seneca Healthcare District expressed gratitude for the incredible generosity of the local community and neighboring areas. The Long-Term Care Director, Tessa Parsons, conveyed her appreciation, stating, “There was an overwhelming amount of support from the community, and it made Valentine’s Day very special for the residents.”
