The California Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses to a double-fatal crash that happened on US 395 north of Mill Street in Milford, Calif., about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30.
A 76 yr old female of Milford was traveling northbound while a 27 yr old male from Westwood was traveling southbound on 395. For reasons still under investigation, the female driver from Milford was in the southbound lane while travelling northbound according to the CHP. The 2 vehicles did collide head on and both parties succumbed to their injuries on-scene. Both parties were wearing seatbelts.
The wreck caused part of US 395 near Wemple Road to close for three hours.
This collision is still under investigation and the CHP is asking for the public’s help.
Anyone who witnessed either vehicle on the highway before the crash is asked to call law enforcement at (530) 252-1900.
