The first water restrictions reach the region amid a third year of extreme drought conditions throughout the state. Hamilton Branch Community Services district has announced it will enter stage 1 of a water ordinance. You will need to reduce your water usage by 20%. Within the district, you will not be allowed to water your lawn with potable water from the hours of 7 am to 6 pm. If you have an irrigation system you can only water for a total of 30 minutes each day. If you have an odd-numbered address you can water on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, and even-numbered addresses can water on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. You can visit the district’s website for the complete details of the restrictions. Across California, counties were already beginning to enforce water restrictions over a month ago.
