FRC TO RESUME CAMPUS OPERATIONS NEXT WEEK!

FRC TO RESUME CAMPUS OPERATIONS NEXT WEEK!
The FRC campus will reopen Monday, August 2nd, absent any further directives from County or Dixie Fire officials. To summarize a message sent to all students and staff, FRC plans to reopen offices Monday. Our goal is to provide the full slate of support services as students enroll and plan for fall instruction. In an effort to limit physical access to campus, we encourage students to utilize virtual services as much as possible. Please keep in mind we still have staff under mandatory evacuation orders so offices may be short-staffed and some services may only be accessible virtually. Please check department websites.
The fall semester begins Monday, August 23rd and New Student Orientation is Friday, August 20th. Unless you need to report sooner (i.e. fall athlete, summer bridge participant), we encourage students who are out of the area to wait until closer to the start of the semester to come to Quincy. Many roads are still closed, the air quality has been poor, which limits outdoor activities, and we still have a lot of emergency responders in the area, as the fire is still active. We are optimistic that things will look more normal by mid-August.
IMPORTANT: If you are planning to travel to Quincy, please check the Caltrans District 2 Facebook page for updates, as you may need to take an alternate route. The post shared below contains up-to-date and accurate information from Caltrans on local route closures, and will be updated accordingly.
Stay safe everyone!
