A former Plumas County supervisor has been offered the role of interim city manager for the city of Portola. The city council has presented the conditional offer to Jon Kennedy. Kennedy served as a supervisor for district 5. Kennedy could begin his role as interim city manager by the 1st of February. He is succeeding Lauren Knox, who announced her resignation to the council to devote her time to focus on family as the she will be welcoming in their 2nd child this year. Her last day is set for February 11th. Giving Kennedy a period to shadow Knox during the transition.
