On August 14, 2025 at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Lassen County Jail for a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival, they contacted paramedics and personnel from the Lassen County Jail in the vehicle sallyport who directed them to the decedent. The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending location and notification of next of kin.
Detectives from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Investigations Unit responded and began an investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Michael Loflin at (530) 257-6121.
