First Woman Commander in the Sierra Army Depots 81

The first woman commander in the Sierra Army Depots 81 year history is about to hand off her command this week.

Lt. Col. Amy Cory will relinquish her role to Major General Darren Werner, commanding general of US Army-Tank Automotive and Armaments Command who will welcome the Deopts 44th commander by handing the guidon to Lt. Col. Jason Haynes.

A ceremony will be held at the Sierra Army Depots parade field June 21st. Lt. Col. Haynes will continue on the depot’s mission of providing sustainment solutions for the US Army Tank-automotive and armaments command, US Army Material Command, and ultimately the US Army and joint forces. Lt Col. Cory will head to Washington DC to continue her service.
