The Lassen Firesafe Council brings its no-cost fire safety seminars to Westwood and Doyle this weekend. At the one and two day events you can learn how to make your home and community better prepared for wildfires by reducing wildfire hazards using the latest fire science findings, and minimizing the risk of ignition around your home. The training sessions are interactive and expert led by local fire safety officials LFSC Tom Esagte and Education Coordinator Dan Douglas and nationally renowned wildfire expert Pat Durland. You can call 251-5560 to register for this weekend’s seminars that will be in Westwood on Saturday at the Westwood community center from 9am to 4:30, and in Doyle this Sunday at the Doyle Community Center starting at 9am as well.
