A woman has died and a driver sustains major injuries after colliding with a tree on SR 36. Yesterday afternoon Rick Lizotte aged 62 of Los Molinos was driving near Mineral when his Lincoln MKZ left the roadway and struck a tree. His female passenger also from Los Molinos, and whose name is being withheld suffered fatal injuries. Rick Lizotte was flown to Mercy Medical Center for treatment, and the Susanville CHP is investigating the incident.
