The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office has lifted the remaining evacuation warning for the 3-1 Fire.

On Wednesday, officials announced that Evacuation Warning Zone LAS-141-A has been cleared. Residents are advised to remain cautious, as firefighting operations continue throughout the area. The Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorists to use care on area roadways, where fire engines, heavy equipment, and firefighting personnel remain active.

The 3-1 Fire has burned 1,049 acres and is 35 percent contained, according to CAL FIRE. Firefighters continue to strengthen containment lines and extinguish hot spots while working to fully secure the fire.

The wildfire prompted evacuation orders and warnings Tuesday as it rapidly spread near Little Valley, but crews successfully prevented the fire from crossing the Pit River and made significant progress through aggressive air and ground suppression efforts.

Although all evacuation orders and warnings have now been lifted, residents are encouraged to remain prepared in case fire conditions change. Officials also ask the public to avoid the active fire area whenever possible to allow emergency crews to continue their work safely.
