CDFW’s second Free Fishing Day of the year is THIS SATURDAY, Aug. 30! If you are new to fishing or haven’t fished in a while, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and the thrill of a fish hitting your hook. No fishing license is needed on Free Fishing Days, however all fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect. Get out there and fish!
