The Indian Valley Innovation Hub is hosting a business workshop, “Accelerate Your Business,” on May 29 in Greenville, supported by ChicoSTART. This event aims to equip entrepreneurs and small business owners with the necessary tools and knowledge for postwildfire recovery and future growth.
The workshop, taking place at Plumas Bank, 121 Crescent St., will begin with attendee check-in at 2:45 p.m. The California Department of General Services will present at 3 p.m. on the advantages of becoming a state-certified small business, enabling participants to sell products and services to the state.
At 4 p.m., the California Office of the Small Business Advocate will discuss disaster preparedness for small businesses through their Outsmart Disaster campaign, which provides essential training and resources for effective disaster response and recovery.
IVIH will present at 5 p.m. on various support initiatives available for Plumas County businesses, including business counseling, assistance with business plans, local grants, and the Made in Plumas County Program.
The event will conclude with a networking opportunity at The Spot in Greenville at 6 p.m., allowing participants to connect with fellow entrepreneurs. Registration for the workshop is available online.
