The Elegant Farmer in Chester announces its Courtyard Market summer series featuring local artisans, beer and wine, fresh flowers, food and music. The markets are set for 4 to 7 p.m. on third Thursdays June through September:

- Sept. 17
Organizers say the Courtyard Market carries forward the spirit of the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce Farmers Market, which will not return this year.
The Elegant Farmer is located at 525 Main St. Organizers are now accepting vendor applications; those interested can email erica.theelegantfarmer@gmail.
