A rollover crash on Highway 36, near Westwood, resulted in injuries to a woman and three juveniles on Monday afternoon. According to the California Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Michelle Urionaguena from Susanville was driving her 2010 Chevrolet HHR eastbound when she veered off the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. The car came to rest about 25 feet from the highway on its roof.
Urionaguena and the three juveniles, aged five, three, and two months, were treated for moderate and minor injuries at Banner Lassen Medical Center. Authorities have indicated that alcohol and/or drug impairment contributed to the incident, leading to Urionaguena’s arrest for driving under the influence.
The Susanville California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash, and witnesses are encouraged to reach out to the Susanville CHP Communications Center at (530) 252-1900.
