Bieber – On Friday, October 31st, 2025, CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc Unit will be conducting a 42-acre prescribed
burn located 5 miles South of Bieber off County Rd A-2, in the Big Valley Area of Northern Lassen County.
This type of burning has been a multi-year ongoing project, treating different portions of the area based on
the identified management needs. The burn will be initiated if/when conditions are favorable for a low-intensity
prescribed burn. Smoke will be visible in the area of Ditch Camp Reservoir and County Road A-2, there is no
need to report to 911.
The purpose ofthe project is to improve wildlife habitat, reduce noxious weeds, and reduce vegetation along
County Road A-2 to prevent the possibility of fire burning and threatening the surrounding residents and
ranches in the area.
